Our horses: Appaloosas, Quarter Horses, Arabs, Tennessee Walkers, Canadian Saddle horses and Standard Breeds are kept outside all year round-summer and in winter-even at -40 temperatures.

During the summer mornings we drive them from the pasture to the paddock, where they wait to be saddled and ridden ready for your adventure vacation. In the evening they return to the pasture, where they rest and enjoy their well earned grass.
In winter they are outside on the pasture grazing, until the snow covers the ground, then it is time for us to feed them with hay. This hay is grown here on the Ranch, and what we do not need for our horses we sell.

Their shelter against the cold in the winter months is found in a thick forest close to the Ranch. In these months-December to March-the horses are not ridden as much, as riding is weather dependant.

This natural maintenance of our horses throughout the year has proven to create the most rewarding relationship with our herd. Our focus on natural horsemanship has created a herd as close to nature as possible without the confinement of four walls. This has kept our horses healthy, strong and relaxed. Our horses are brought up from foal to old age in the herd surrounded by people and handled through the ideals of natural horsemanship. They are mainly grass and hay fed, apart from when they have to work extra hard or mares and foals.

Therefore a beginner will be able to learn Horse Riding quickly on steadfast Horses and the more experienced rider will find a spirited yet well balanced horse he can trust to go at the pace he dictates. You can trust that whatever your ability our horses will look after you on your Horse Back riding holiday.
